Job Description
Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with corporate and legal SHE requirements.
- Lead safe project execution through LOTOTO, Permit-to-Work, contractor management, risk assessments, and safe work practices.
- Identify and mitigate SHE and ergonomic risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure project designs and execution align with GMP, Sanitary Design principles, and Manufacturing Operating System (MOS) standards.
- Drive compliance with quality requirements, regulations, and company policies.
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop project scopes, cost estimates, and CAPEX proposals.
- Manage capital projects from initiation through commissioning and handover.
- Prepare technical documentation, including drawings, FAT/SAT protocols, commissioning documents, equipment schedules, and risk assessments.
- Partner with software and automation engineers to develop and review URS and FDS documentation.
Stakeholder & Supplier Management
- Provide regular project updates and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Procurement, and Engineering teams.
- Manage supplier tendering activities and support contract implementation.
- Coordinate project execution to ensure business and operational requirements are achieved.
Budget & Cost Management
- Manage project budgets, commitments, and expenditures.
- Utilize SAP for purchase orders, supplier management, goods receipt processing, and invoice reconciliation.
Commissioning & Handover
- Lead commissioning, qualification, verification, and project close-out activities.
- Ensure complete handover documentation, including OEM manuals, risk assessments, and training materials.
- Support training and capability development for end users and operational teams.
Qualifications
Education:
- University Degree (Bachelor) or higher in Engineering or another related field.
- Languages: Local - Fluent; English - Intermediate
Experience:
- Proven 5 years experience of delivering significant capex investment projects.
- Strong engineering (multi skilled or mechanical bias) background ideally within a process manufacturing environment.
- Experience of hands on commissioning.
- Strong project and stakeholder managements skills with experience of navigating complex projects.
- Experience of managing tender processes and delivering against financial budgets.
- Experience and or understand of project management techniques.
